Mrs. Virginia Smith of Potosi, Mo., born January 24, 1911 near Parma, Mo., died in a St. Louis hospital September 27; daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Howell of Bernie. Funeral services held September 30 at the First Baptist Church in Potosi; burial in Hopewell Cemetery, near Potosi. Survived by husband John Smith of the home; daughters Mrs. Margaret Skiles and Mrs. Mary Jane Skiles; sons Richard and Johnny Smith, all of Potosi; eight grandchildren; and two brothers including Rupert Howell of Des Lodge, Mo. (second brother's name cut off in image). Stoddard County tie: daughter of Walter Howell of Bernie.
