- 1977-09-09 Resigned as Bloomfield water superintendent on Thursday, Sept. 8, 1977 (masthead date Sept. 9), ending a week-long dispute with city officials and the City Council over operation of the city water plant. Bloomfield mayor Ted Brewer said Bolin had expressed dissatisfaction with the council. Terry Crowson named acting superintendent.
- 1977-09-14 Scott Bolin submitted his typed resignation as Bloomfield Water Superintendent to the Council; in his letter he said he posted a copy of the resignation on the city hall bulletin board. Resignation accepted on motion by Alderman Larry Lancaster, seconded by Alderman Carl Neuber.
