- 1977-08-16 Obituary, 'Former Parma resident dies': Ruby Alma Chappell, daughter of the late William and Bertha Ann Bullock Cummins; died at the Cascade Nursing Home in Lebanon, Oregon, on Thursday (Aug. 11, 1977, derived from issue dated Tue., Aug. 16) at age 74; born Allen Springs, Illinois, May 14, 1903; lived most of her life in the Parma community, last three years in Oregon; member Parma Assembly of God Church; married John Chappell in August 1950, he preceded her in death November 11, 1963; survived by daughter Mrs. Victor L. Neal of Lebanon, Ore., son Jack E. Morse of Lebanon, Ore., eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and brother Bill Cummins of Brinkley, Ark. Funeral services at Watkins and Sons Chapel in Parma on Wednesday at 2 p.m., Rev. Leon Bell of Parma officiating; burial in Bernie Cemetery.
