After the Bernie City Council killed a proposed ordinance allowing an additional package liquor store in Bernie at its Sept. 3 meeting, Ron Hardin, owner of the 'Mr. Quick' store in Bernie, told the Council he planned to 'take the city to court' because its regulation of package liquor stores in Bernie is 'unreasonable.' Former city alderman H.R. Bowman volunteered to pay for legal assistance in court proceedings. (By Jim Wilder)
