- 1977-10-17 Robert Keith McClure, 29, wanted for burglary and parole violation in Greeley, Colorado, fled from a Dunklin County deputy about 6:30 p.m. Saturday and escaped into the Malden area; a one-hour manhunt with a soybean-field search failed to find him. Later that evening two Chevrolet trucks were stolen in Malden, one owned by the Protective Services Company, believed stolen by McClure; the truck was spotted on Highway 25 southbound from Malden about midnight and then again heading north on Interstate 55.
